Frequently asked questions

Does OCT work with any website platform?
Yes. OCT is a single JavaScript file that works on any website — WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, raw HTML, or any custom-built site. If your site can render a <script> tag in the <head>, OCT works.
Does OCT capture passwords or payment data?
No. The tracking script explicitly skips all <input type="password"> fields. We recommend not placing credit card or other sensitive data in plain text fields.
What happens if a visitor submits a form twice?
OCT uses a 30-second per-form deduplication window based on sessionStorage. A second submission within 30 seconds on the same form and page will be ignored.
Can I track only specific forms on my site?
Yes. In Project Settings → Tracking behaviour, enter the name or id attribute of the forms you want to capture, separated by commas. Leave blank to capture all forms.
Can I filter leads to only those who came from ads?
Yes. Enable "Google Ads clicks only" in Project Settings. When active, only leads that arrived via a Google ad click (i.e. have a valid gclid) will be recorded. Organic and direct visitors are ignored.
How do I upload the exported CSV to Google Ads?
In Google Ads, go to Goals → Conversions → Upload. Select the CSV and map the Google Click ID column. See our Export guide for step-by-step instructions.
